The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) held its annual General Meeting in Ibadan yesterday(26/09/2023).
The event which was attended by many high profile personalities in the LPG industry, including the NALPGAM National President Alhaji Abideen Olatunbosun, Mr. Ogbugo Ukoha from NMDPRA’s Eecutive Director of Distribution Systems and Retailing Infrastructure and other industry heavyweights, charted a way forward for the progress and sustainability of the country’s LPG industry, amidst its current challenges.
At the meeting, the participants harped on the need to increase the utilization of gas in the country.
Highly cerebral discussions at the meeting also revolved around incessant LPG price hikes, with a call on the need for a deeper collaboration between the government and the private sector to develop key LPG production, storage and distribution infrastructure, to improve price stability.
Issues bordering on LPG facilities approval processes and regulatory frameworks, were also comprehensively deliberated upon, in a bid to emerge with LPG sector investment friendly policies that will be in the overall best interest of the industry.
Overall, the NALPGAM Annual General Meeting and Conference, was impactful and beneficial to all that attended, and to the entire LPG industry.
