Painting an LPG cylinder with the sole aim of sealing a leaking point on the cylinder is an exercise in futility.
In other words, applying paint on the leaking areas on a gas cylinder will not prevent gas from leaking from that point, when gas is introduced into the cylinder.
What painting does to a cylinder that is rusting, is to reduce the rate of corrosion.
The only ways to seal a leaking point/are on a cylinder are to thoroughly and professionally weld the leaking point/area or apply a powerful adhesive to it(depending on the size of the leakage point and its location on the cylinder.)
Please note that an adhesive may only seal the leaking point for a certain period of time, before it fails.
