Leakage of gas from your Camp Gas Burner control is not something you should turn a blind eye to, if you really love yourself and hard-earned properties.
In disadvantageous addition, the leakage of gas from your Burner Control, will result in the rapid exhaustion of the gas in your cylinder, which will adversely affect your finances.
There are two possible ways to detect leakage from a Camp Gas Burner Control:
1. By striking a match or igniting a lighter, and placing it on the burner cap; while the burner’s control is turned off. If gas fire, however small, begins to burn on the burner cap, it indicates there is leakage from the gas orifice of the burner control.
2. By removing the burner cap and applying soapy water on the burner control’s gas orifice, orifice bolt perimeter, and the control rod’s threaded area. If you observe bubbles in any of these areas, it indicates leakage of gas.
The best thing to do to a leaking Camp Gas Burner Control is to discard it and procure a new one.
