Oxygen Gas flame is often used to remove ‘stubborn’ gas cylinder valves that need replacement.
These are the three major safety precautions to take to safely use oxygen gas flame on an LPG cylinder:
1. Ensure you evacuate all the liquefied gas from the gas cylinder.
2. Thereafter, vent the gas vapor in the gas cylinder by using a screw driver to press the cylinder valve ( for Camping and Standard-type valves) and turning the valve on( for Util, Cut and Nido-Type Valves.)
3. For Util, Cut and Nido types of valves, leave the valve open for at least two hours before using oxygen gas flame on the valve. While for Camping and Standard type of valves, continue to press the valves until gas vapor no longer comes out from the valve.
