Niglpgas.com’s LPG personality for this week is a man whose meteoric rise to preeminence in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas industry in the past twenty years, is a powerful inspiration to every hard-working Nigerian, irrespective of their current economic condition.

Mr. Abdulwasiu Sowami, the founder and CEO of Prudent Energy & Services Limited and Chairman of Ardova PLC(recently acquired from Forte Oil in a mesmerizing deal worth billions of naira) is a major force to contend with in Nigeria’s cooking gas industry.

With his fully functional 6,000 Metric Ton Prudent Energy LPG Terminal in Oghara, Delta State and Ardova PLC’s 20,000 Metric Ton LPG Terminal in Ijora, Lagos, which is nearing completion, the sheer magnitude of Mr. Sowami’s investments in the LPG industry is absolutely breath-taking.

Having hundreds of Enyo Retail and Ardova PLC service stations, where LPG skids are installed under his control, the retail presence of his companies in Nigeria’s cooking gas industry is octopus-like and truly significant.

There’s every reasonable reason to project that Mr. Abdulwasiu Sowami will continue to be a top player in Nigeria’s LPG industry for many years to come.
