1. Alhaji Auwalu Rano, GMD/CEO - AA Rano Limited
If there is one exceptional personality operating powerfully in Nigeria’s LPG industry that needs no introduction, it has to be Alhaji Auwalu Rano.
For anyone residing in Nigeria, it is indeed quite impossible not to notice his ubiquitous petroleum product tankers traversing the length and breadth of the country in their hundreds, on a daily basis.
His ultra-modern 6,000 Metric Tons LPG Terminal in Ijegun, Lagos, as well as several LPG Skid and Standard Plants, scattered across the country, accord him the status of a brobdingnagian in the country’s LPG industry.
Nigeria’s LPG industry is fortunate to have a shrewd and creative investor with a large financial war-chest like Alhaji Auwalu Rano.
2. Mrs. Omowunmi Adebayo, MD/CEO - Gasland Nigeria Limited
If Niglpgas.com were a degree awarding higher institution, Mrs. Adebayo would have been appointed as an Emeritus Professor of LPG Business and Marketing, without fail.
This just goes to show the depth and profundity of the wealth of knowledge Mrs. Adebayo possesses in the marketing and sales of LPG in the country.
Being one of the leading voices advocating for the adoption and usage of LPG in South-west Nigeria in particular, and the country as a whole, her mastery of the cooking gas market, is almost second to none.
With multi-million dollar investments in the LPG industry that includes tens of world-class LPG Refilling Stations, tens, or perhaps, hundreds of LPG Bridgers/Bobtails and other key assets, her contribution to the growth of the industry is immense and notable.
Mrs. Adebayo is one of the few top players in the LPG industry that goes an extra mile to always make cooking gas available to her teeming customers at affordable prices.

With investors like Mr. Ogbechie on the country’s LPG scene, the future of the industry is very bright.
5. Mrs. Nkechi Obi, GMD/CEO – Techno Oil Limited
Any list of the big shots in Nigeria’s Cooking Gas industry that does not include Mrs. Nkechi Obi, does not deserve any ‘molecule’ of attention.
Under her pragmatic and visionary leadership, Techno Gas has grown by leaps and bounds, setting up its trailblazing LPG cylinder manufacturing plant and 5-star 8,400 Metric Tons LPG Terminal in Kirikiri, Lagos.
These laudable investments have improved the adoption of LPG and boosted the supply of the product in the country.
To put it succinctly, Mrs. Nkechi is a monumental blessing to the LPG industry in Nigeria.
6. Mr. Abdulkabir Aliu, GMD/CEO - Matrix Energy Group
As a top entrepreneur with a stellar reputation for distinction and a very sharp ‘eagle eye’ in prospecting for potentially viable business opportunities, it did not come as a surprise to bright minds in the LPG industry when he established the first LPG Terminal in the Delta/Rivers/Akwa Ibom/Bayelsa axis, in Warri, Delta State, on December 2017.
Matrix Gas, a subsidiary of his company, has gone on to establish several first-rate LPG Refilling Plants across the country.
He recently made Nigeria proud when he ‘sailed gracefully’ into the West-African Regional LPG ‘waters’ and inaugurated his 6,000 Metric Tons LPG Terminal in Tema, Ghana.
